Grindelwald Tasmania

Where to find us.

Tasmania is accessible from the Australian mainland by air and sea. Domestic airlines operate several flights to Launceston Airport daily. The "Spirit of Tasmania" vehicular ferries connect Devonport with Melbourne on a regular basis.

To get to Grindelwald from Launceston, follow the signs to Beauty Point on the West Tamar Highway (A7). Just beyond Legana, you will see a blue-and-yellow sign pointing the way. Turn left into Atkinsons Road and continue to the top of the hill.

On the right hand side, you will see the Grindelwald Resort with its hotel and shops. Drive on, and you will come across another sign. Turn right into Alpine Crescent at the corner of the golf course, then right again into Pine Tree Avenue. The first driveway on the left is Rita's Bed & Breakfast.

To get to Grindelwald from Devonport, you may take the Bass Highway to Launceston and then follow the directions above.   Alternatively, you may take the shorter and more scenic route along the Frankford Highway to Exeter. Turn right onto the West Tamar Highway. Just beyond Brady's Lookout (on your left), a blue-and yellow sign will instruct you to turn right into Waldhorn Drive.

Continue along this road up the hill, until you get to the sign at the golf course, then follow the instructions above.
